This cabin was amazing. The views are so, so, SO magnificent, and the cabin is so well maintained. I would definitely come back. I loved how private it felt, too, but wasn’t far from shops, etc.
Definitely one of those places where the pictures do not do the home justice. The view was unbelievable, I think the best of all of the mountain airbnbs I’ve booked. And everyone in that Virginia town is so friendly!! One of the best parts. Every day going up and down that mountain I was able to see lots of deer. You constantly hear birds chirping. The home is so cozy and you are provided with absolutely everything you could possibly need. I absolutely loved everything about this airbnb and cannot wait to stay again!
Cozy, secluded cabin perfect for a quiet getaway. The cabin was better than the pictures and description and had everything plus more that I needed for the stay. Will definitely be back!

Darin’s place is absolutely a gem! The photos do not do it justice – Finding the cabin & checking in is seamless. The cabin itself was very clean and inviting. The views from the back deck are spectacular. There is so much wildlife right on the property but also lots to explore in the area. My bf & I enjoyed a peaceful weekend away relaxing at the cabin & spent a day hiking with wild ponies at Grayson Highlands State Park. We also made a stop at Powerhouse Falls which is an impressive waterfall nearby. Darin was very welcoming & even offered us to join him for some kayaking at the river! He had lots of great recommendations as well! Overall this stay was easily a 10/10 & I hope to be back in the nearby future.
Our stay here was amazing. We came in June and spent 4 nights here. The wildlife in the yard was amazing from bears to all kinds of animals. The hiking right next to the house was amazing as well as the accommodations. Darin was extremely helpful and was a great host.
Our second stay. Very private, peaceful, and and secluded. Well appointed/furnished. Great views from the cabin. You’d be hard pressed to find a better mountain to walk and hike. Very open area with an old gravel road that meanders across the mountain providing outstanding views in all directions. The last half mile up the road to the cabin is a bit challenging; 4WD required. Well worth it!
Upon arrival everything was perfect, the view was amazing. My girlfriend and I sat outside for hours just looking at the mountains and surrounding area. The sunset/sunrise was astonishing. I highly recommend staying here if you just want to get away from the commotion of a busy life and just want to slow down and relax.
We loved this cabin, far away from everyone and everything. The road to the cabin is a bit difficult to navigate, but once you get there it’s amazing. You can go for a hike / walk straight from the cabin, and with amazing views. Loved the record player and listening to old tunes while making dinner at night. Definitely recommend!
The Cabin was beyond beautiful and very comforting. Once you reach the top the views are beyond amazing! Also having hot coffee on the porch in the cool mountain morning air was very refreshing for the soul.
